JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various optical procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in an optical setting or healthcare environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.

• Assist optometrists during eye examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Conduct preliminary tests.
• Help patients select appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions and preferences.
• Manage inventory of optical supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is well-stocked.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the practice, including the laboratory area.
