KINSIP HOUSE OF FINE SPIRITS

We are the only estate distillery in idyllic Prince Edward County, just outside of Bloomfield. We produce award winning grain-to-glass spirits and handcrafted bitters for cocktail enthusiasts, Gin Lovers, Whisky Wonks and the bar-curious.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in hospitality, specifically in serving, and/or in retail is highly valued and food handling experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Hands-on experience with POS transactions.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills and a friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Able to contribute to a positive and fun atmosphere with teammates and customers
  • Basic Mathematics skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory procedures.
  • Organization and punctuality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take initiative.
  • Interest in learning about spirits production and developing customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in English. French is an asset.
  • Experience in order fulfillment is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers to the property and answer their queries
  • Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features, seating, and accessibility.
  • Seat customers, engage with them, and deliver special product knowledge.
  • Serve customers their spirit flights and/or cocktails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage customer flow in interior and exterior spaces.
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases.
  • Remain knowledgeable about products and services available through ongoing on-the-job learning.
  • Ensure availability of merchandise (both spirits and other) and services by maintaining inventories.
  • Securing merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
  • Protecting employees and customers by contributing to a safe and clean service environment.
  • Maintaining the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
  • Participate in brand promotion onsite or at local markets.
  • Maintain all hygiene and product safety standards including operating commercial glassware dishwasher.
  • Maintain valid SmartServe certification.
  • Taking care of animals on the property: feeding chickens and peacocks, and remaining aware of their presence and needs throughout the outdoor service season.
  • Packing and preparing online orders for shipment.
