Overview: We are looking for an experienced and organized full or part-time Retail Sales Associate and Marketing Assistant. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people and pets to provide customer and operational support, update social media pages to update customers & drive sales, and assisting with everything from cleaning to walking or bathing dogs. Good verbal communication skill is required.
Duties:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner & check customers in and out for services offered
- Cash/POS system: Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
- Sales: Provide product information (i.e. pet food and nutrition) to customers and help them make purchasing decisions
- Stocking: Order products through vendors websites, Assist in restocking merchandise and maintaining inventory levels & maintain a clean and organized shelves. Price and count products and enter into our system
- Marketing: Write daycare report cards for pets in our care, take photos/videos & post to social media pages, create posters or assist with marketing campaigns. Help drive food sales through creating campaigns. Create weekly sales promotions.
- Other duties: Help walk dogs if needed or bath dogs or cats as needed. Other duties include cleaning up after the pets if there are accidents, filling up water bowls, vacuuming and mopping of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of pet food/nutrition is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Marketing work experience or schooling is ideal
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
