Description Join our team as a Seasonal Retail Associate and help create a welcoming, memorable shopping experience for our resort guests. In this guest-facing role, you’ll assist customers with purchases, maintain an organized and visually appealing retail space, and support daily gift shop operations. Position Details Employment Type: Seasonal Shift: Flexible (Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays) Department: Retail / Gift Shop What You’ll Do Provide friendly, attentive customer service to resort guests and assist with merchandise selection Operate a computerized POS system to process cash, credit, and other transactions accurately Open and close registers, including verifying cash banks, balancing drawers, and completing end-of-shift procedures Maintain retail displays, including merchandising shop floors and window displays Receive, inspect, tag, and restock merchandise Monitor inventory levels, assist with monthly inventory counts, and communicate reorder needs Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked (dusting, vacuuming, straightening displays) Gift wrap items and assist guests with purchases as needed Support overall retail operations and complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership Requirements What We’re Looking For Must be 18 years of age or older Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred (not required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Frequent use of hands for operating a register, handling merchandise, and stocking shelves Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs occasionally Repetitive motions such as scanning items, folding, and hanging merchandise Work Environment Retail shop setting within a busy resort environment Frequent interaction with guests and team members May require working weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods Exposure to moderate noise levels and high guest traffic Fast-paced environment with frequent multitasking About Lake Lawn Resort Located on Delavan Lake, Lake Lawn Resort is a premier hospitality destination known for exceptional service and a strong team culture.
