The Retail Associate plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining the bakery’s retail displays, and ensuring a welcoming and clean environment. This role is responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, answering product questions, packaging baked goods, and supporting daily operations of the retail area. Key Responsibilities: * Greet every customer warmly and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere. * Assist customers with product selections, offering recommendations and answering questions about baked goods and merchandise. * Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit card, and other forms of payment. * Package bakery items with care, ensuring presentation and quality standards are maintained. * Restock shelves, displays, and cases to ensure products are attractively presented and readily available. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail area, including counters, shelves, and floors. * Monitor inventory levels of retail items and notify management of low stock or potential shortages. * Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines in handling products. * Collaborate with team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations. * Assist with special orders, events, or promotions as needed. * Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support the overall success of the team and organization. QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous customer service or retail experience preferred. * Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for excellent customer service. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude. * Basic math and cash-handling skills. * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. * Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
