Job Description Customized Energy Solutions (CES) is hiring a Retail Billing Analyst I to join our growing Retail Services team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with billing, invoicing, or financial operations experience who is eager to build expertise in the energy industry. As a Retail Billing Analyst, you’ll ensure billing accuracy, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and support clients with billing-related issues. You’ll also work with data sets, improve reporting tools, and help streamline billing operations. What You’ll Do Manage daily billing processes, including data validation, exception handling, and quality checks. Generate, review, and reconcile client invoices to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or escalations in a timely manner. Conduct system audits using Excel and SQL to confirm data integrity. Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve billing workflows and reporting tools. Support process improvements and automation to increase billing efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. 1–5 years of professional experience in billing, invoicing, accounting, or data operations (internships included). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple billing tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred (Not Required) Familiarity with SQL and relational databases. Experience in the retail energy industry or with billing/financial systems. 00Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
