Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity to join TheMarketHub Team, a division of Are Direct, that offers a comprehensive B2B ecommerce platform that provides services to over 2,400 independent retailers across Australia, specialising in the toys, games, gifts, stationery, and general merchandise categories.
Reporting to the Head Buyer, you’ll support the Buying team with tasks like product planning, inventory management, sales reporting, and market research. You’ll work closely with Buyers and Marketers to help track trends, manage orders, and analyse performance. This is a great role for someone passionate about products across different categories.

DUTIES

  • Conduct market research, analyse sales and category performance.
  • Assist with product launches, promotions, markdowns, and seasonal strategies.
  • Maintain accurate product, cost, and order data in buying systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers and overseas agents, managing orders, shipments, and vendor relations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and ecommerce teams for consistent product representation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate product flow with the warehouse.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (warehouse, buying, marketing) to ensure timely deliveries and product knowledge.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations to resolve delivery issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely updates to delivery schedules and supplier orders.
