Retail Cashier Reports to: Retail Supervisor Category: Seasonal (April - Mid October in Hoonah, Alaska) Salary Range: DOE plus bonus potential Summary: A Retail Cashier is responsible for maintaining Guest Service as per company standards, generating sales, housekeeping, re-stocking, signing, pricing, cash register operations (POS) and loss prevention in adherence to all Company Policy/Store standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding Guest Service by providing a Guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of Guest Service. * Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements. * Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping. * Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock. * Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention. * Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions andmaintainproper cash and mediaaccountabilitiesat POS registers. * Communicate Guest requests to management. * Any otherduties asassigned by management. Physical Requirements & Work Environment: * Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat. * Prolonged periods of standing, with climbing stairs multiple times a day. * Must be able to lift 40+ pounds at times. * Ability to communicate in English to our associates and guests. * Ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation. * Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. * Ability to work in an unheated building. * Willing to live in a remote,rural community * Comfortable traveling by small plane orferry to and from a remote setting * Able to walk and/ordrive on gravel roads in inclement weather * In Season, the hours can be extended.
