Job Description Job Description The Retail Director APCN is responsible for developing, implementing and regularly updating a strong distribution strategy in order to sustain the highly qualitative development of the brand in the market; Maximizing sales and achieving company business objectives in Mainland China region. Responsibilities Drive sales strategies to achieve targets, monitor market performance, optimize inventory control, and conduct regular market visits to assess competitor activities. Lead the optimization of retail network, identify new store locations, secure favorable lease terms with landlords, and spearhead the opening and refurbishment of boutiques to strengthen brand presence. Enhance and develop a strong clientele, integrate VIP data, interpret consumer behavior insights, and design strategies to elevate engagement with high‑value customers. Steer annual budget planning, execute regular store audits, and ensure all boutiques uphold company policies and operational standards. Lead, recruit, coach, and advance retail staff in office and frontline, conduct performance appraisals, and cultivate a high‑performing team with clear development pathways. Develop the client-centric culture with brand history, products and hospitality, and reinforce consistent communication of company policies. Orchestrate marketing activities and events with Marketing team, elevate client service standards, and optimize the end‑to‑end client journey. Deliver sales and market reports with business acumen, participate in key meetings, and demonstrate a consistently professional and self‑driven approach. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above required, with priority given to majors in Hospitality experience, Luxury Management, or related fields with extensive luxury retail management experience may be considered with adjusted educational requirements. Minimum of 15 years of retail industry or luxury hospitality experience, with at least 10 years of retail management experience in the luxury or high-end industry. Familiarity with high-end business operations, preferably in luxury retail, and extensive experience in distributor channel management preferred. Excellent sales management capabilities with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve business targets. Proficient in retail data analysis methodologies, capable of extracting key insights from sales data and inventory data. Rich experience in boutique site selection and full-process management of new boutiques opening. Excellent team leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively motivate and develop team members. Strong cross-departmental collaboration and communication skills, capable of working closely with Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and other departments. Significant personnel management experience including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and career development planning. Ability to accommodate frequent domestic travel. Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin, capable of conducting business negotiations and preparing professional reports in English.
