JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Retail Fixed Income Trader, you will actively engage with market participants to conduct in-depth market research, staying informed on current benchmark pricing, yield trends, input assumptions, and prevailing pricing methodologies. You will conduct thorough research on client’s current holdings to provide guidance on existing portfolio performance, as well as trade idea generation for future security selection(s). In addition, you will provide commentary on trends and developments within their primary sector of responsibility, providing valuable insights to Financial Advisors while building and maintaining the external network of providers and products to enhance client service and add value to each transaction. Finally, you are responsible for accurately and efficiently processing fixed income buy and sell transactions as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four or more years of experience with fixed income products and trading
  • Series 7 and 63 required or obtained within 120 days of hire

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Deep understanding of the securities industry, with a focus on market trends and fixed income products
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market and technical research and develop trading strategies
  • Ability to recommend appropriate fixed income products within the context of a client’s overall portfolio allocation
  • Skilled in clearly and concisely communicating complex fixed income investment concepts
  • Self motivated and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Experience utilizing Bloomberg
