JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. SKILLS

  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.

Responsibilities

· Provide high standard customer service to contribute to an inviting and efficient shopping environment, helping to build customer loyalty and support the store’s reputation in the community
· Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon entering the store
· Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist in locating items
· Address customer complaints or concerns in a courteous, solution-oriented manner, escalating issues to management as needed.
· Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and special offers to boost sales and enhance customer experience
· Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety
· Operate point-of-sale systems, on-line orders, and supporting the store’s daily functions
· Maintain cleanliness of store and storage areas by sweeping and mopping, and ensuring shelves and displays are clean and free of debris
· Monitor stock levels by identifying items that need to be restocked, and assisting with monthly inventory counts
· Receive deliveries, unpackage items, and place them on shelves, cooler, and freezers to maintain well-stocked and organized shelves and ensure proper rotation and organization following First-In-First-Out (FIFO) approach
· Adhere to store policies and procedures including workplace safety
· Stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects up to kg 15 kg
· Other duties as assigned
