Position Summary CIP Retail is hiring a Retail Graphic & Environmental Designer to join our Cincinnati design team. In this role, you’ll lead the design and development of interior décor and signage solutions for national retail clients — from initial concept through final installation. You’ll apply your expertise in interior design, environmental graphics, and retail space planning to create store environments that drive customer engagement and reflect each brand’s identity. This is a great opportunity for a designer with a passion for retail environments, hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and a strong eye for finishes, materials, and spatial design. Core Responsibilities Lead the design of retail interior environments from concept through completion, including: Developing initial design concepts and space planning layouts Retrofitting existing retail designs into new store footprints Selecting finishes, fixtures, and materials aligned with brand standards Creating original artwork, environmental graphics, and faux finishes Collaborate with retail clients to understand project scope, brand vision, and budget requirements Translate client briefs into compelling retail design solutions that balance creativity with budget constraints Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout production Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and professional ethics standards Requirements Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Environmental Design, Graphic Design, Architecture, or a related field Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative mindset Preferred: Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other 3D design software Background in retail design, store planning, or environmental graphics Familiarity with current retail design trends, materials, and finish specifications Experience working directly with retail clients or brand teams Why CIP Retail?
