Description
Retail Intern Location: Hybrid (Monday-Thursday in office in Soho, NYC) Reports to: Business Development Specialist (Retail Team) Compensation: $16/hr Hourly Expectation: 40 hours per week Role Overview We’re looking for a Retail Intern to join Bubble and support our retail team across a variety of projects. This role is all about being hands-on and helping to keep things running day-to-day — from send-outs and trackers, to supporting store teams and lending a hand on special projects. You’ll gain exposure to many parts of the business while working closely with our entire retail team, with mentorship from our Business Development Specialist. The right candidate is beauty-obsessed, detail-oriented, and excited to wear many hats in a fast-paced, growing brand. This internship is a great opportunity to learn how a beauty brand shows up in retail and to build skills that will set you up for a future career in the industry. Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day Retail Support Manage retail product send-outs, including making labels, raising shipments, and tracking deliveries. Maintain and update trackers (sales, promotions, launch calendars, market research, door lists, etc.). Conduct PDP and ecommerce homepage checks to ensure accuracy and brand consistency. Review retailer social posts and emails to highlight Bubble activity across accounts. Prepare weekly summaries of upcoming retail activity and share key updates with the wider Bubble team. Support with calendar and meeting management for the Chief Commercial Officer. Store & Field Team Support Provide ad hoc support to store teams, including sharing education materials, event toolkits, and surprise-and-delight packages. Act as a friendly, helpful point of contact from HQ to store teams, helping build relationships and ensuring Bubble is represented with excellence on the sales floor. Collect feedback from store teams and share insights with the retail team. Project & Creative Support Assist with creative briefs and follow-through on retail activations. Provide general project support to the retail team, ensuring initiatives stay organized and moving forward. Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Creative, Social, Community) to support cross-functional retail initiatives and ensure alignment across projects. Jump in across the team as needed — this is a varied support role, and the list above is not exhaustive. What We’re Looking For Beauty-obsessed with a genuine interest in how brands show up in retail. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with follow-up and follow-through. A team player with a positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support across different projects. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Suite; bonus if comfortable with basic Excel/Sheets functions. What You’ll Gain Hands-on experience in retail operations and brand building within the beauty industry. Exposure to multiple functions — retail, marketing, events, ecommerce, and store team relationships. The chance to work with a fast-growing, Gen Z–loved skincare brand and see how launches, events, and partnerships come to life. A typical day could look like… You’ll start by checking retailer websites and social channels for Bubble features or promotions, and updating trackers with anything new. From there, you might prep and ship samples, help review product pages online, or pull together materials for store teams. Some days you’ll join team calls with Marketing or Creative, take notes, and share retail updates. Other times you’ll support on toolkits, briefs, or event prep. Each day is different — but you’ll always wrap up by syncing with your manager, sharing progress, and setting priorities for what’s next.
Responsibilities
The Retail Intern will manage day-to-day retail support tasks, including product send-outs and maintaining trackers. They will also assist with project support and collaborate with various internal teams to ensure retail initiatives are organized and aligned.
