Sierra Madre Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91107 Reports To: Restore Manager Department: ReStore Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Salary: $20 - 23 per hour Company Description: In 1990, a small group of dedicated volunteers with a desire to eliminate substandard housing in our community founded San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity. Thanks to our supporters, more than 200 local and international families have been able to build or repair their own homes here in Los Angeles’ San Gabriel Valley and beyond. Job Summary The Lead with Keys is a trusted retail associate who supports store management by assisting with daily operations, leading the sales floor, and opening and closing the store. This position serves as a keyholder and shift leader, working closely with the Store Manager to ensure a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment. Requirements Key Responsibilities Open and close the store in accordance with established cash handling and security procedures Serve as a keyholder and lead shifts, providing guidance and support to sales associates Deliver excellent customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns Drive sales by modeling effective selling behaviors and promoting store initiatives Maintain visual merchandising standards and overall store appearance Train, coach, and mentor new and existing team members Monitor inventory levels, restock merchandise, and support loss prevention efforts Communicate store performance, operational needs, and concerns to management Work closely with vendors in the Vendor Marketplace, including entering inventory lists and creating labels Understand and adhere to OSHA guidelines and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) regulations Follow all Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with Habitat for Humanity policies Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2–4 years of retail experience; lead or supervisory experience preferred Demonstrated customer service and sales experience Ability to operate POS systems, handle cash, and complete basic reporting Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lead effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team Strong time management and multitasking skills Sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Forklift certification required (company-provided certification available upon successful completion of a 90-day probationary period) Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise weighing approximately 25–75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Equal Opportunity Statement SGV Habitat for Humanity is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified individuals, including minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, and veterans, regardless of race, religion, age, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, genetics, gender identity, or any other legally protected characteristic.
