JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee our store/warehouse operations and drive sales performance. The Furniture Shop Vancouver will open on November 1st though we would like this position to start on October 6th to set up the online inventory. Check out our other locations at thefurnitureshop.ca. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term goals while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role is essential.
  • Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, and store management practices.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, payroll processes, and financial analysis is highly desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence others effectively.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as communication is key in our diverse environment.
  • Proficient in time management, organizational skills, and administrative tasks related to retail operations.
  • Strong math skills for managing budgets, pricing strategies, and cash handling responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
  • Manage payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure profitability.
  • Conduct recruiting, interviewing, and training of new staff members while fostering their development.
  • Implement effective marketing strategies to promote store initiatives and enhance customer engagement.
  • Create and Post social media content daily, weekly, and for special Sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and administrative tasks.
  • Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
  • Monitor store performance metrics and develop action plans to improve sales and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and provide regular feedback on performance.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
