EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
  • Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Global

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Must be able to acquire MED badge prior to beginning employment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to individually move objects up to 50 lbs in all directions.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements.
  • Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities.
  • Retail, operations and/or sales experience a plus.
  • Minimum of one-year retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service industry experience.
  • High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language and reasoning skills.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for both opening and closing the store and retaining all necessary keys and codes to operate the store.
  • Ensure all safety and compliance regulations are followed by all staff.
  • Responsibilities in cash handling and product management.
  • Directly manage staff; including assisting with employee scheduling as necessary, assigning tasks and workstations, helping maintain employee profiles, and engage in conflict resolution when needed.
  • Hold monthly staff meetings to inform staff of any and all additions to procedures, products, and sales deals. Will need to communicate with staff daily to explain daily deals and specials.
  • Create/manage monthly and quarterly incentives for budtenders to increase sales performance.
  • Assist in ordering and receiving products for medical and recreational as necessary.
  • Active role in hiring/firing, interviewing process, training and all disciplinary action.
  • Ensure there is on-going coaching/providing feedback to and from employees. Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations in conjunction with the Store Manager.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, new cannabis studies and information. Ensure employees do the same and communicate with the executive management team.
  • Assisting in creation of, amendment of, and enforcement of all standard operating procedures as regulations and laws require.
  • Maintain chain of command reporting pertinent information directly to the executive level management as needed.
  • METRC responsibilities – includes all regulation requirements for handling RFID tags, includes but not limited to: receiving of manifested transfers, finishing packages, sales exports, manifesting product when necessary, maintaining separation in differently licensed product, maintaining integrity of legal procedures, disposing of RFID package tags when sold through in METRC. Maintaining patients in our medical METRC; removing expired patients as needed.
  • Ensure validity of all customer and patient information/profiles.
  • POS System responsibilities - including input of product, customer/patient and employee information, discounts and coupons, daily auditing of product and cash, and troubleshooting of inventory errors.
  • Efficiently replenishing floor inventory while maintaining accurate back stock inventory tracking procedures.
  • Assists with responsibilities including ensuring accurate inventory counts and audits, placing orders and ensuring store inventory remains healthy.
  • Perform all duties within the store when necessary.
  • Maintain waste logs and follow waste SOPs. Quality control - ensures all unsatisfactory product is reported through appropriate channels and properly disposed of when necessary
  • Attendance required at all announced manager meetings. May be required to hold meetings for other staff and leads. Must provide creative input for specials, events, pop-ups and all-around education for staff and public.
  • Ability to complete all inspections successfully; ability to proficiently navigate DVR system and provide footage as required and/or requested by governmental agencies.
  • Maintain all marketing and advertising duties as directed by executive level management.
  • Maintain store culture and overall customer and patient satisfaction.
  • Knowledge and consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals.
  • Ability to learn, use, and navigate various modern technologies.
  • General understanding of the cannabis industry including product knowledge, compliance, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of cannabis, cannabis products, cannabis accessories and methods of consumption.
  • Ability to remain even-tempered in high stress situations. Ability to manage people successfully.
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.
  • Ability to use standard registers, office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, management, customers, other governmental agencies, community members and the general public.
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
