Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Retail Performance Leader, the Retail Offers Analyst is accountable for ensuring our in-market offers are delivered in a competitive and profitable way balancing short term gross margin performance with long term profitable customer growth. With a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and competitor activities, they manage in-market offers for all small market plans, ensuring quick responses to market dynamics. Other aspects of the role include:

  • Lead the management and adjustment of market acquisition offers to ensure alignment with current market dynamics
  • Oversee daily competitive analysis and market intelligence
  • Ensure all market offers comply with relevant regulations across operating regions
  • Develop and maintain models to assess in-market offer performance and forecast future value based on competitive scenarios
  • Own the delivery and forecasting of forward value, driving commercial outcomes
  • Deliver proactive insights into EnergyAustralia’s market performance, highlighting trends and competitor behaviour to guide strategic decisions

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of managing in-market pricing and performance in a B2C environment. Other things we’re keen on include:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent career experience
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market trends and capture value in fast-changing environments
  • Advanced analytical skills, with experience in SQL, data analysis, and commercial modelling
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional engagement
  • Proven success managing in-market pricing and performance in a B2C environment
  • Skilled in influencing and negotiating across matrixed organisation
