Position Summary The Retail Operations Manager is the single point of accountability for performance across two retail locations. This role has full P&L responsibility, revenue growth, operational execution, and team performance while building scalable systems that improve customer lifetime value (LTV) and reduce customer acquisition cost (CAC). This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong financial acumen, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to execute at both a strategic and store level. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking with operational discipline to drive consistent growth, profitability, and brand excellence. Key Responsibilities Multi-Unit Leadership ● Oversee daily operations across two retail locations ● Lead, coach, and develop store managers and frontline teams ● Establish clear KPIs, accountability systems, and performance standards ● Ensure consistency in execution, culture, and customer experience Financial Ownership (P&L Accountability) ● Own full store-level P&L across both locations ● Drive revenue growth while protecting and improving margins ● Manage labor efficiency, operating expenses, and profitability ● Build and execute budgets, forecasts, and financial plans ● Analyze weekly/monthly performance and implement corrective actions Data, Reporting & Analytics ● Build and manage reporting systems across sales, labor, and customer behavior ● Own KPI dashboards and reporting cadence (daily/weekly/monthly) ● Translate data into actionable insights and decisions ● Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities ● Partner with ownership on data-driven strategy Revenue Growth & Customer Strategy ● Develop strategies to increase: ○ Revenue ○ Average ticket size ○ Conversion rate ○ Customer retention ● Design and implement loyalty programs to drive repeat business ● Improve LTV while optimizing CAC ● Identify promotions, partnerships, and growth opportunities ● Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and pricing strategy Brand & Merchandising Execution ● Ensure premium and consistent brand presentation ● Oversee merchandising, product placement, and sell-through optimization ● Maintain clean, compliant, and elevated retail environments Team Development & Culture ● Recruit, train, and develop high-performing store leaders ● Build a performance-driven, accountable culture ● Conduct performance reviews and ongoing coaching ● Oversee scheduling, staffing models, and labor planning Compliance & Operational Excellence ● Ensure compliance with California cannabis regulations ● Maintain inventory accuracy and operational controls ● Oversee loss prevention and shrink management ● Develop and improve SOPs and operational systems KPIs & Performance Metrics ● Revenue growth (monthly & quarterly) ● Gross margin and net income performance ● Store-level EBITDA ● Labor % to revenue ● Inventory accuracy and shrink ● Customer retention and repeat purchase rate ● Loyalty program performance (LTV growth) ● CAC efficiency ● Customer satisfaction metrics Note: Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by any person authorized to give instructions and/or assignment(s). What Success Looks Like ● Both stores consistently meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets ● Decisions are driven by clear, reliable data ● Loyalty programs increase repeat customers and LTV ● CAC is optimized and marketing is efficient ● Store managers operate independently within strong accountability systems ● Brand experience is premium, consistent, and scalable ● Operations are efficient, compliant, and continuously improving Qualifications ● 5+ years of retail management experience ● 2+ years managing multiple locations preferred ● Strong financial acumen with proven P&L ownership ● Advanced analytical and reporting capability ● Experience with loyalty/retention programs preferred ● Cannabis retail experience strongly preferred ● Proven ability to drive revenue growth and develop teams ● Highly organized, KPI-driven, and systems-oriented Requirements: ● Must be 21 years of age. ● Available and willingness to work flexible onsite hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts to meet business needs/production demands. ● Must have reliable transportation. ● Ability to stand for extended periods, sit for extended periods and continuous mobility and repetitive movements to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch on a daily basis. ● Manual dexterity and coordination. ● Occasionally lift and carry packaging supplies or equipment (typically up to 30 pounds). ● Sedentary Work: Ability to hear and respond to phone calls, meetings, and communications.
