SUMMARY This position oversees the day to day operations in the Gallery as directed by Retail Manager, maintaining open line of communication with Manager always. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES As scheduled, acts a lead in charge for the shops, ensuring guidelines are followed operationally and exceptional guest service is being delivered Maintain a good rapport with fellow employees and reflect a positive attitude. Report concerns/issues/ideas from guests and staff to Retail Manager. Be able to address immediate concerns or issues in a professional manner. Communicating with Retail Manager to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained in all stores. Assist Retail Manager with special orders, organization of daily/weekly tasks associated with the purchasing process. Responsible for initial interview and training of new hires, along with placement with proper staff member for further training. Responsible for staffing, directing, evaluating and managing all retail shop staff in accordance with Resort policy and procedure. Assist Manager with biannual inventories of all gallery stores. Cover two, possibly more shifts in shop. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE At least 2 years of retail supervisor experience is needed. Supervision Experience necessary. Familiarity with Excel and Word. Able to comfortably interact with guests to build incremental sales and drive revenue OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to articulate in both written and verbal communication. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. The candidate must have basic mathematical skills and understand how to read, analyze and assist in the creation of budgets. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (If applicable) In assistance with the Retail Manager and Buyer only. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Ability to stand for up to 10 hours daily Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS Requires the ability to interact with people beyond giving and receiving instruction Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with an emergency Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines WORKING CONDITIONS Noise environment is usually moderate. Must follow all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA and the Health Department Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities
The Retail Outlets Lead oversees daily operations in the Gallery, ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to operational guidelines. They also manage staff, assist with inventory, and communicate with the Retail Manager regarding concerns and inventory levels.
