Description Walt Churchill’s Market is looking for a Part-Time Pharmacist at our Perrysburg, OH location. Job Summary: The Staff Pharmacist provides professional pharmacy services including accurate dispensing, patient counseling, immunizations, and clinical support. This role ensures compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations while maintaining a welcoming and customer-focused environment. The Staff Pharmacist works collaboratively with the Pharmacy Manager, Store Manager, and pharmacy staff to deliver safe, effective, and efficient patient care. Responsibilities: Apply thorough knowledge of pharmacy practice, drug therapy, and applicable laws and regulations Receive, process, fill, and check prescriptions with accuracy and efficiency Create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and supported Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries and concerns Provide exceptional customer service by listening attentively, addressing patient needs, and offering appropriate solutions or product recommendations Follow all company policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations to ensure safe and efficient workflow Ensure compliance with federal and state statutes, rules, and regulations Counsel patients on new prescriptions, changes in therapy, and appropriate medication use Address and resolve patient/employee concerns in the absence of pharmacy manager Stay current on drug information, therapy guidelines, side effects, and professional best practices Complete all continuing education requirements as mandated by the State Board of Pharmacy to maintain licensure and professional competencies Maintain CPR certification and complete all required continuing education Administer immunizations and maintain certification and competency requirements Assist with staff training and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians Monitor reimbursement and drug pricing to support optimal gross margins Support inventory management, ordering, and returns to achieve appropriate stock levels and profitability Communicate regularly with the Pharmacy Manager regarding operations, compliance, and patient needs Pharmacy hours are: Monday-Friday: 9am-7pm Saturday: 9am-5pm Sunday: Closed Schedule: This position requires at least one 10 hour shift per week typically 9am - 7pm. Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical guidelines Ability to accurately interpret and process prescriptions Excellent communication and counseling skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email) Commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed Education and Experience: Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy Current and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Ohio Current immunization certification or ability to complete certification within 30 days of hire Retail/community pharmacy experience preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking Occasional lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, or pulling Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
