Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company owned retail contract pharmacy. Our technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication. This role will be based out of the United Health Center in Orange Cove, CA. Pharmacy Hours: Monday - Friday: 9:00AM - 5:30PM, Saturday: 9:00AM - 2:00PM. NOTE: Hours are subject to change. Regular travel to cover other United Health Centers Pharmacies, as needed, is required by this job. Employees will receive mileage reimbursement above their normal commute. Work Saturday rotation at sites with Saturday pharmacy is required. Responsibilities Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel. Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change. Be available to the customer/patients at all times. Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers. Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B The ability to travel at a moment's notice to cover other United Health Centers Pharmacies, as needed, is a job requirement. Must work an eight-hour shift minimum, at least once every 90 days. Qualifications High school degree or equivalent preferred Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of California required 2 plus years with retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred 340B experience preferred Fluent in Spanish required May require vendor credentialing Anticipated hourly range: $21.75 per hour - $28.80 per hour Bonus eligible: No Benefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being. Responsibilities
The Retail Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in preparing and delivering prescription medication while maintaining professional relationships with patients and healthcare personnel. They will also ensure medication availability and contribute to team efforts in compliance with best practices.
