Retail Production Worker - Part Time, Hourly Our mission is to Change Lives through the Power of Work! * Store discount * Work for an incredible mission * Weekly pay * Casual dress * Collaborative work culture * Career development Primary Responsibilities: * Responsible for the sorting and pricing of donated goods and materials. Job Functions: * Textiles and Hardlines Processing * Follow established sorting and pricing guidelines. * Recognize name brand, vintage, and collectible items. * Size and hang textiles. * Differentiate materials and place in proper containers, z-racks, etc. * Donation Attendant * Receive donated items. * Sort donations by category. * Material Handling * Operate pump cart and stacker to move containers, totes, etc. * Assemble / Disassemble containers, gaylords, kit bins. * Make proper use of available space and materials. * Operate Compactor * Recognize and follow proper material content. * Know the mechanical operation of the compactor. * Understand and demonstrate safe operation. Physical Requirements: * Medium work, occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force and/or up to 25 pounds of lifting, frequent lifting up to 10 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, reaching, handling, hearing, talking, seeing and repetitive movement. Work Conditions: * Inside generally 100%, however, may include outside work on occasion. * Limited emotional effort. Work environment routine with periods of isolated high stress. Short deadlines requiring some overtime. Education: * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: * Minimum of one (1) year experience in retail operations preferred. Other Requirements: * Availability to work after-hours on special projects. * Availability to work weekends and some holidays Core Competencies: * Must be able to provide positive internal and external customer relations and to easily interact and work with individuals referred for training. * Demonstrate ability to think independently in supervisor’s absence. * Meet production goals. * Demonstrate quality control and accuracy with sorting and pricing guidelines. * Kaizen principles: follow 6S Checklist, procedures, signage, and layout. Supervision Received: * Position reports directly to the Salvage and Production Manager or Retail Store Manager. Supervision Exercised: * None

Responsibilities

Responsible for sorting, pricing, and processing donated textiles and hardlines according to established guidelines. Duties include receiving donations, operating material handling equipment, and managing the compactor.
