Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our Homeware, Furniture & Paint department. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service to our customers while assisting with sales, stock management, and maintaining an attractive and well-organized department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by helping customers find the right products for their home, answering questions, and offering expert advice on furniture, homeware, and paint products.
  • Product Knowledge: With our support and training, develop a strong understanding of the products in the department to offer accurate advice and information to customers, including homeware, furniture, and paint.
  • Stock Management: Help with the receiving, organizing, and stocking of products on the shop floor, ensuring that shelves are well-stocked, well-displayed, and that inventory is rotated efficiently.
  • Store Presentation: Maintain a clean and organized department, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and safely. Assist with seasonal or promotional displays as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within the team to achieve our goals and provide support to colleagues when needed.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately process transactions at the till, handling cash, card payments, and returns in line with company policies.
