JOB SUMMARY

As a Store Associate (Budtender/Driver), you play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales. You will assist customers with a friendly and welcoming approach, offering knowledgeable recommendations on cannabis products that suit their needs. Your goal is to ensure a complete and satisfying shopping experience while maintaining compliance with all cannabis regulations.
Additionally you will be required to do deliveries to customers throughout Richmond and Vancouver using our company delivery vehicle. Your responsibilities will be to drive safely without speeding or incidents an to verify customers with their orders by a mandatory ID and Credit Card check.
This position requires a passion for customer service, strong communication skills, and a commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all patrons. Whether you’re an experienced cannabis enthusiast or simply love helping customers, we will provide the necessary cannabis product knowledge training to set you up for success.
This position has similar requirements of an In-Store Associate with the added duties and requirements for a Driver. Note, you will be required to work in store as the business requires.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 25+ (legal and insurance requirement).
  • Must have a valid full drivers license.
  • Required to provide employer with a current ICBC history report and shows no driving infractions.
  • Selling It Right certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop product knowledge.
  • Previous retail or cannabis industry experience is a plus.
  • Previous delivery driver experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling is a plus.
  • Sales experience is a plus.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain store appearance effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members; knowledge of additional languages such as French is a plus.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Build rapport with customers to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences and needs.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure they select the right product for them.
  • Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale system, including cash handling.
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations including checking that the vehicle is safe to use prior to each shift, reporting any vehicle issues to the Store Manager immediately, and drive defensively adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to scheduled routes.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and product details.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and invoices.
  • Ensure all customer purchases comply with provincial cannabis regulations including checking photo ID.
  • Ensure all online credit card purchases are valid by physically verifying credit card number to credit card number used on online purchase.
  • Ensure all signage and product displays are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and delivery vehicle.
