JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a friendly and dependable Part-Time Sales Associate to join our flower shop team. In this customer-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, helping them choose the perfect flowers and gifts for every occasion. You’ll assist with daily sales, maintain a clean and welcoming shop environment, and support the overall operations of the store. REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and work as part of a team
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and process credit/debit card transactions
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift or move boxes of flowers, plants, and supplies
• Comfortable working with fresh flowers and plants—knowledge of plant care is a plus, but we’re happy to train
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable—we’re counting on you to be there, especially on weekends and holidays
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays
• Positive, friendly attitude and a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to keep the store organized and running smoothly

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Part-Time Sales Associate, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and beautiful environment for our customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude and assist them with flower and gift selections
• Answer phones promptly and professionally to take orders, answer questions, and provide product information
• Process sales transactions accurately using credit/debit/cash and handle register operations
• Water plants and check their condition regularly to ensure freshness and quality
• Keep the front of the store clean and tidy, including sweeping, dusting, and organizing displays
• Receive and process incoming flower shipments, including unboxing, trimming, and hydrating stems
• Clean and organize floral coolers, ensuring product is rotated and displayed attractively
• Assist with merchandising, including refreshing displays and restocking products
• Support floral designers with basic prep work, such as stripping stems, wrapping bouquets, or tagging items
