OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team . We are a swimming pool retail store selling chemicals, and pool equipment. While training will be provided, some experience in this field is highly valued. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their purchasing decisions. Testing pool water in our lab will be one key responsibility so a candidate with some basic chemistry knowledge is valued. Your ability to engage with customers and effectively communicate product benefits will be key to driving sales and enhancing the overall shopping experience.

SKILLS

  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls and inquiries professionally.
  • Proven ability to sell products by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures for efficient transaction processing.
  • Swimming Pool knowledge and chemistry an asset but not required

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs, providing personalized assistance throughout their shopping journey.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
  • Test water samples and provide a detailed explanation of adjustments necessary to bring chemistry into balance.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including processing payments and handling cash accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is well-displayed and stocked.
  • Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
