Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Retail Associate who can deliver excellent customer service, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall success of both Wine Kitz Kamloops and Mocktail Mixery. The ideal candidate will be versatile, have a keen interest in both wine-making and non-alcoholic beverages, and be able to create a welcoming environment for our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is a plus.
• Serving it Right certification
• Previous retail experience, preferably in the beverage or specialty food industry.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of wine-making and non-alcoholic beverages is an asset, but training will be provided.
• Ability to lift and move boxes and products as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Greet and assist customers in both stores, providing product information and recommendations.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Process sales transactions using the (POS) system
• Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure the stores are clean and well-organized.
• Assist with wine-making demonstrations and workshops at Wine Kitz Kamloops.
• Conduct tastings and product samplings at Mocktail Mixery.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the products offered in both stores.
• Handle customer inquiries and professionally resolve any issues.
• Assist in creating attractive product displays and promotional materials.
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas for store improvements.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, fostering a friendly shopping environment.
