Futurama, a leading retailer of products relating to hunting and other outdoor activities such as camping, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and creative Sales Professional with a demonstrated history of success in retail environments. Our primary categories consist of various niches such as: Night Vision, Shooting Optics, Sport Optics, Astronomy, Air Rifles, Renewable Energy and various others. We are looking for an ambitious, diligent individual who embodies integrity and professionalism, ready to thrive in a customer-centric role within our retail space and whom shows a keen interest in, or experience with, any of the categories listed above.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Location: Our retail store is conveniently located at shop 231 inside of the Somerset Mall in Somerset West, Western Cape.
Objective: To enhance sales performance, manage product merchandising effectively, and deliver outstanding customer service, contributing to the overall growth and success of our retail operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 year of retail sales experience, with a successful track record of meeting sales objectives.
• Experience in any of the key categories that we specialise in.
• Background in a physical retail setting.
• Matric certificate required/tertiary degree advantageous.
• Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• A keen interest in all things outdoors - from camping to hunting.

• Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to boost revenue.
• Oversee product merchandising, pricing, promotional activities, and inventory management.
• Offer superior customer service by addressing queries, solving problems, and providing exceptional advise. All in the pursuit of customer satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to guarantee a cohesive customer journey.
• Stay abreast of retail trends and best practices to identify growth opportunities and foster innovation.
• Take part in the annual stock take.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment always.
