RETAIL SALES LEAD QUALIFICATION / DESCRIPTION

To provide a consistent level of friendly, efficient and exemplary service to visitors to The UPS Store as embodied by the Gold Shield customer service training and The UPS Store’s seven Guiding Principles.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma and some college credit coursework preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of Prior retail experience

TECHNICAL AND MENTAL SKILLS:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to readily accept change
  • Basic knowledge of computer operation

PHYSICAL ABILITIES/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the daily operations of the center
  • Arrive early for shift and prepared to work
  • Prepare store for daily business and open store by posted business hours
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all profit centers
  • Perform all duties necessary to competently complete transactions in each profit center
  • Cross sell and up sell at every appropriate opportunity
  • Request additional training when required
  • Process customer transactions and assist customers with tasks before, during and after sales transactions
  • Maintain store image and perform general housekeeping duties
  • Display ability to work alone, without supervision, and with team members
  • Assist in meeting center performance goals
  • Recommend and develop improved systems for the operations on the center
  • Provide training and mentoring to fellow Customer Service Associates
  • Understand, observe and practice company policies and procedures
  • Continually develop customer service skills through training and mentoring
  • Clean and organize store at end of day and prepare for following day’s business
  • Other duties as required by Center Manager
  • Perform Close of Day and deposit revenue
  • Process Claims
  • Supervise shifts
  • Monitor box inventory/supplies and ensure orders are prepared
  • Use Mailbox Manager to manage mailbox service customers. Specifically:
  • Maintain accurate box holder records
  • Supervise the preparation and sending of forwards
  • Invoice box holders
  • Record payment and notify manager about delinquent accounts
  1. Prepare required reports
  • Promote printing services and give space for Ric & Eric to focus on increasing Print Revenue
  • Manage No Limit Freight transactions; pack, ship, tracking
  • Design and build custom packaging solutions
