JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly qualified and proactive Retail Security Officer to work part-time during our closing hours (15:30 – 17:30), at a rate of £20 per hour. The area has experienced a rise in theft from shops, so we require a security officer who is alert, authoritative, and takes a hands-on approach to crime prevention—more of a doorman-type presence than a passive observer.

REQUIREMENTS

• SIA Licence (Essential)
• Experience in retail security, door supervision, or similar roles.
• Confident, authoritative presence with strong situational awareness.
• Ability to remain firm but professional in challenging situations.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Prevent theft and deter shoplifters with a strong, visible presence.
• Monitor customers entering and exiting the store.
• Act as a deterrent for antisocial behaviour.
• Respond swiftly to security incidents.
• Work closely with store staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Professionally handle difficult situations while maintaining excellent customer service.
