THE ROLE

As a Retail Security Officer, you’ll be a visible and approachable presence in busy retail environments, focused on loss and asset prevention, and ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for customers.

Your day-to-day might include:

• Keeping a watchful eye for suspicious behaviour
• Roaming and static patrols
• Writing clear, professional incident reports
• Collaborating with store teams to maintain a secure, friendly atmosphere
• Responding quickly and calmly to incidents

If you’re confident and observant this role could be a great fit. To thrive as a Retail Security Officer, you’ll need:

• Current QLD Security Licence (Required)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates (Required)
• Police Check (Required)
• Impeccable grooming and professional presentation
• Strong interpersonal and report-writing skills (Highly desirable)
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods
• A friendly, customer-focused attitude with sharp observational skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a tea
