Join Red Badge Group as a Site Security Manager for one of our West Auckland retail sites and help safeguard the site while delivering excellent customer service and leadership. This permanent role combines hands-on security duties with people management, ensuring safe, welcoming environments for customers, staff and contractors. This role will start as Monday - Wednesday day shifts with alternating Saturday/Sunday shifts. This roster is likely to change in future, and additional shifts are common so flexibility is key. About the role: Lead and coach on-site security teams to maintain consistent standards of service, professionalism and safety Ensure compliance with Red Badge policies, site procedures, and emergency processes Maintain a visible presence on site and lead from the front, particularly during incidents Oversee incident response, reporting, investigations, and escalation processes Coordinate CCTV operations and support effective incident management Manage staff performance, presentation, attendance, and conduct Support rostering, leave planning, inductions, training, and staff development Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain service standards Build strong relationships with the client, retailers, contractors, Police, and emergency services Identify risks, recurring issues, and process gaps, and implement practical improvements Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, safety, and customer service Provide strong, visible leadership in a fast-paced, public-facing retail environment Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture Key Requirements: Previous experience in a security leadership, supervisor, or site management role A current Certificate of Approval (COA), or ability to obtain one Strong knowledge of security operations and incident management Experience working in customer-facing or high-footfall environments Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills Confidence managing performance and holding staff accountable Strong written reporting skills and attention to detail Ability to build relationships with clients, retailers, Police, and emergency services A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement High personal presentation and professional standards Flexible availability to cover varied shifts on a 24/7 site including evenings, weekends and public holidays Calm and confident under pressure, with a hands-on leadership style Leads by example and values professionalism, trust, and consistency Benefits of joining Red Badge Group: Competitive salary and weekly pay cycle Opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing team Career progression and leadership development opportunities Supportive, inclusive culture where every team member is valued Due to the high volume of interest, only those shortlisted will be contacted for further steps.
