Sterling Meat Company Ltd are looking to recruit a Retail Store Assistant Manager with experience in a fast-paced retail environment to join the team at Hellaby Meat Mart.

Assisting the Store Manager with the day to day running/operation of the store, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic leader with a proven track record of retail management and of achieving set KPIs. You will also be personable and an energetic leader that can inspire, motivate, coach and lead the team to deliver outstanding customer service and exceed expectations at every opportunity.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Managing the day-to-day operation of the store.
• Monitoring sales and gross margin performance.
• Driving sales to meet and exceed performance.
• Managing food hygiene and HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and Company best practices
• Managing health & safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and Company policies and procedures.
• Cash handling procedures
• Delivering outstanding customer service, meeting customer demand and expectations consistently.
• Training, developing and motivating the team.
• Smart and well-presented appearance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent attendance/timekeeping.
• Experience in management, preferably within a retail environment
• Excellent leadership skills with a strong work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude.

Salary from £13.00 per hour, full-time and permanent contract
