Description Belstra Farm and Garden is an independent retail store specializing in farm products and garden supplies. We are currently looking for an outgoing, customer service-oriented person who can help run the storefront operations. This opportunity is for a reliable and highly motivated individual. This person must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to): Run cash register and sales transactions Stock shelves and monitor inventory Willingness to learn about product lines Willingness to ask and answer customer questions General housekeeping of store and common area Capable of completing tasks correctly while focusing on quality, service, and safety Requirements Physical Demands Ability to be standing for extended periods Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, etc. Work with variety of products and materials including feeds, seeds, plants, vegetables and landscape supplies Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Skills and Requirements: Regularly required to talk and listen when interacting with customers and other employees Ability to work alone or as a team Ability to work weekends and increased seasonal hours Strong communication skills Education and Experience: High school diploma or G.E.D. Previous retail experience preferred, but not required Experience and knowledge in farm or garden products, but not required Retail store business hours are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday. Seasonal hours vary.
Responsibilities
The Retail Store Associate will run cash register operations and assist with sales transactions. They will also stock shelves, monitor inventory, and maintain the cleanliness of the store.
