REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants with holiday commitments during July, August and early September will not be considered.
  • Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding how to grow local retail opportunities.
  • Awareness of fashion and schoolwear trends (preferred).
  • Confident using IT systems and point-of-sale tools.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily store operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Lead and supervise a team of staff members, fostering a positive work environment.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Organise inventory management and ensure stock availability.

DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES

  • Lead and motivate your team to boost sales and efficiency.
  • Manage stock levels and make decisions about inventory.
  • Analyse sales and staff performance to support future planning.
  • Handle staff recruitment, appraisals, and training.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service, store appearance, and safety.
  • Resolve customer complaints and handle Trading Standards compliance.
  • Represent the brand locally—communicate with schools, press, and the community.
  • Travel to schools and events.
  • Plan and run in-store promotions, events, and school fittings.
  • Lead team meetings and update staff on business progress.
  • Keep an eye on industry trends and competitors.
  • Suggest and implement improvements (e.g. store hours, layouts).
  • Stay hands-on with sales, housekeeping, and flexible working hours.
  • React quickly to business demands and out-of-hours emergencies.
