Position Summary We are hiring a full-time Retail Store Opener to prepare the store for daily operations and support overall retail activities. The Retail Store Opener is responsible for preparing the retail store for daily business operations by performing store opening procedures and supporting general retail activities. This role ensures the store is clean, well-organized, fully stocked, and ready to serve customers while maintaining high standards of customer service, food safety, and product presentation. The Retail Store Opener also supports customer assistance, merchandising, and inventory activities. Weekend availability is required for this position. Key Responsibilities Open the store on time following company security procedures, including disarming alarms, turning on lights, and preparing equipment for operations Receive, verify, and stock inventory deliveries accurately and efficiently Prepare and organize product displays to maintain visual appeal and product accessibility Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the store in compliance with food safety regulations Assist customers in a courteous and professional manner with product information, purchases, and inquiries Process cash, debit, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently Ensure the store is organized, fully stocked, and ready for daily customer operations Follow company policies, health and safety standards, and food safety guidelines Perform other retail duties as assigned by the Retail Supervisor or Store Manager Qualifications & Requirements Dependable with strong punctuality and time management skills Previous customer service experience and seafood knowledge are assets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Availability to work weekends is required Physical & Working Conditions Standing for extended periods Lifting up to 50 lbs Working in cold, wet, and fast-paced retail and seafood handling environments Performing repetitive physical tasks including bending, crouching, and inventory handling Maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards Pay & Benefits Salary $16.75 per hour Commission program on personal sales Cost-shared medical and dental coverage Employee store discount If you are dependable, customer-focused, and enjoy working in a hands-on retail environment, we encourage you to apply.
