FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for the right person to be a Calendar Club of Canada store Operator! Do you have a passion for working hard from day one and do you already live the same core values we do?

WHO WE ARE

Calendar Club Canada is one of Canada’s largest seasonal retailers. We provide our customers with a collection of calendars, puzzles, games and toys. We connect people to their passions, offering curated, meaningful gifts that spark joy while bringing people together to share and engage precious heartfelt moments by providing a unique personal experience. We live and breathe our core values!

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Inspecting the store location site and providing information about it to Calendar Club.
  • Hiring and training a crew to meet the delivery truck, unload it and build the store according to instructions provided.
  • Hiring and training employees to help operate the store day to day.
  • Operators are responsible for ALL labour costs and will need to determine a method of payroll (weekly/bi-weekly, salary) using an accredited payroll service.
  • Communicating with mall management to inquire about permits that might be needed, storage space, and any other special needs or requests.
  • Finding offsite storage to hold empty skids, boxes, and totes if there is no storage at the mall for this. This may require the use of a rental truck. All of these empty skids, boxes and totes will be needed and reused when you pack up the store just before the end of the lease.
  • Building and merchandising the store according to the instructions and plan-o-grams.
  • Preparing and arranging daily deposits.
  • Completing the End of Day process on the POS and depositing cash to a bank account assigned by Calendar Club.
  • Ensuring that merchandise is straightened and re-stocked by staff to ensure the store looks its best.
  • Operators must ensure the store is up to date with promotional signage and marketing materials as needed and requested.
  • Ensuring that all store employees provide exemplary customer service including greeting all customers, passing out promotional products, and wearing the aprons or lanyards provided.
  • Tearing down/packing up at the end of the season. This includes ensuring that you have enough staff to help you complete this task on time and well.
