Processor/Sorter Reports to: District Manager, Store Manager, Asst. Store Manager & Team Leader Job Purpose: * To provide for general maintenance of store,  which includes all janitorial duties at location. * Position also responds to donation door. * To fulfill Goodwill’s mission statement Supervision Exercised: None Qualifications:         No minimum education requirements Organizational Responsibilities: Work with individuals who have disabilities and or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals.  Demonstrate a positive, role model.  Display commitment and involvement towards Goodwill's mission. Job Competencies: Sorts through donations which may include household items, games, toys, holiday items, wares and other miscellaneous donations.  Hangs clothing and tags textiles.  Prices items and follow procedures for identified salvage. MISSION STATEMENT We transform lives and communities through the power of education, training and employment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Sort through donations and place into gender categories. 2. Sort all goods brought to goods area into categories: 1. Household 2. Games 3. Toys 4. Holiday items 5. Miscellaneous 3. Hang clothing and textiles on rack and tag, if needed, quantity and gender, date. 4. Price good item in two places. 5. Salvage unusable donation and label as such “salvage”. 6. Must meet getting rack quotas out daily. 7. Separately price vintage and formal wear for sales floor. 8. Do weekly productions report.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Attend meetings as required. 2. Adhere to all safety policies and reports violations. 3. Support mission statement and activities of other departments. 4. Follows all safety policies and fire prevention procedures. 5. Adhere to all safety policies and reports violations. 6. Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records. 7. Responsible for safety and well-being of all employees. 8. Support mission statement and activities of other departments. 9. Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment and other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment. 10. Provide support for helpers. 11. Other duties as assigned. STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE/QUALITY STANDARDS: 1. Attendance and punctuality. 2. Quality and quantity of work performed. 3. Responsibilities
The processor is responsible for sorting, pricing, and tagging donated goods while maintaining the cleanliness of the retail store. They must also assist with donation intake and ensure production quotas are met daily.
