POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the retail operation. This person serves guests by training staff to deliver exceptional guest experience, enhancing expectations and anticipating their needs. The role also protects inventory, and orders appropriately.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision making and analytical skills
  • Ability to become proficient in current retail management software
  • Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
  • Innovative and change driven with a high sense of urgency.
  • Proven problem solving skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 7 to 8 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, and bend.
  • The position may also require the ability to lift over 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and Holidays

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Retail experience required
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, the Internet, and email (particular skill in excel).

  • Train and supervise retail staff to deliver exceptional customer experience
  • Assists Retail Manager in product plan-o-gram, set-up, organization and distribution of merchandise at multiple outlets on property
  • Creative ability to build displays with color, balance and charm on the sales floor
  • Responsible for the physical count and accuracy of item / garment inventory reporting
  • Proficiency in Foreup to receive, price, and enter inventory data
  • Assist in scheduling staff according to budget and needs of the retail operation
  • Communicate effectively and often with all levels of employee and owners within the organization
  • Cultivates strong relationships with others by responding and resolving matters promptly
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards for retail
  • Other duties as may be assigned
