As Retail Supervisor you’ll be empowered to uphold and execute the timeless legacy of the Wine Train—delivering world-class hospitality leading operations for our retail department. A Day in the Life The Retail Supervisor,The Retail Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily photo and retail operations of the Napa Valley Wine Train while delivering exceptional guest service in second command of the Director of Wine & Retail. This position combines photography, retail sales, and supervisor responsibilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Retail Supervisor assists Director of WIne & Retail in maintaining service standards, operational efficiency, employee training, and revenue generation through guest engagement and product sales. Requirements Capture guest photographs and provide a positive, memorable guest experience Operate photo, digital, and printing equipment Process photo and retail transactions accurately using POS systems Upsell photo packages and retail merchandise Answer guest questions regarding products, pricing, and services Support daily retail operations within the wine and gift shop Restock photo, printing, and retail supplies Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment Multitask and manage multiple photo and retail orders efficiently during peak service times Support training, coaching, and oversight of team members as assigned Follow all company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Willingness and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Minimum two years of experience in photo and/or retail operations Experience in wine, winery, or hospitality environments preferred Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills Ability to provide professional, guest-focused customer service PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of Napa Valley wine regions Prior leadership or supervisory experience Strong communication and customer-facing skills Wine certifications (WSET, Sommeliers Certification,) is a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
