The Role As a Retail Supervisor you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a retail department within a store. You will oversee a team of employees, manage inventory, and ensure that the store is meeting sales goals. You need to have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a proven track record of success in a retail environment. It will be your job to inform and educate our customers on the products we sell and what is suited for them and their needs. Sometimes you will just need to stoke out the customer and chat about your epic day of skiing. Key Responsibilities and Duties Daily Operations Oversee the daily operations of the retail department. Assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally. Staff Management Lead and motivate a small team of retail assistants. Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor team performance. Conduct regular check-ins and performance evaluations. Provide on-the-job guidance and support to empower your team. Foster a positive, communicative, and team-oriented work culture. Sales and Customer Service Train and encourage staff to deliver outstanding customer service. Support the team in reaching sales targets and improving customer satisfaction. Step in to assist with customer service and transactions as needed. Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolutions. Inventory Management Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability. Coordinate restocking with the purchasing team based on sales and demand. Conduct regular inventory counts and address discrepancies. Implement measures to reduce shrinkage and loss. Visual Merchandising Work with the visual merchandising team to set up effective product displays. Ensure all products are well presented and visually aligned with store guidelines. Adjust displays as needed to maximize sales and customer engagement. What You Need to Succeed Leadership & Team Support Experience leading or supervising a small team Confident in giving feedback and helping others grow Able to delegate tasks, track progress, and keep people motivated Retail & Customer Service Skills Solid background in retail or customer-facing roles Comfortable assisting customers with product knowledge and sales Skilled in handling customer concerns with professionalism and care Inventory & Store Operations Understanding of stock levels, inventory tracking, and basic ordering Familiar with loss prevention and audit processes Eye for store presentation and an organized approach to merchandising Communication & Problem-Solving Clear communicator with both customers and team Proactive and calm when things get busy or challenging Comfortable using POS systems and handling basic reporting The Perks and Benefits As a Rhythm employee, you’ll experience the same legendary hospitality we extend to our guests.
