With the generous support of our donors and retail customers, we are changing lives through the power of work.    Position Summary:  Assist with the day-to-day operations and management of the store and donation area. To ensure efficient and cost-effective operation through world-class customer service, processing donated goods, quality control, and maintaining a productive workforce.    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Responsible for all management duties in the absence of Store Manager (SM) or an Assistant Store Manager (ASM), including opening/closing, all day-to-day store operations, and management of store associates.   Adhere to working the established rotating schedule unless otherwise directed or approved by the District Manager.  Maintain open availability to assist the store with management and leadership needs, including time frames outside of the management rotating schedule if needed.  Help ensure the Safety Program is being managed efficiently.  Manage and influence the team by communicating clear company daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals.  Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at POS registers/safe.  Assist with the training and development of associates when needed.  Help ensure the proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in and out of the store by always utilizing proper equipment according to GWH policies and procedures.  Accurately operate all store systems and ensure financial and statistical counts are completed (donor counts, production standards, etc.).  Help ensure the timeliness of proper rotation of apparel and hard goods according to GWH policies and procedures.  Perform other duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs.     Additional Responsibilities:  Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and present a friendly, cooperative attitude.   Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.   Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Loss Prevention & Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles.   Must be punctual, maintain a professional appearance, and perform expected duties.  Maintain a high level of confidentiality.  Must perform all duties according to GWH safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping standards, and ensure all walkways are clear and free of clutter.  Adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations    Minimum Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  Management experience is preferred.  At least one (1) year of retail sales experience is preferred.  Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand safety instructions, standard operating procedures, and workplace communications.  Good computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office).  Good time management and organizational skills.   Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.   Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, evenings, overnight, and weekend shifts.  Must have reliable transportation.    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment.
