JOB DESCRIPTION

To have an enthusiastic attitude and to deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring all our visitors have a memorable visit and want to return. To work alongside the Retail & Front of house team to ensure the smooth running of the department, whilst maintaining the safety of the visitors to the aquarium.

• To be courteous, pleasant and approachable at all times when dealing with the public in order to establish a lasting positive image of the aquarium

· Promote conservation messages and responsible behaviour towards aquatic ecosystems.

• Maximise revenue by offering guest alternatives and upselling.
• To be knowledgeable about all products on offer throughout the aquarium, including show and feed times during the peak and off-peak seasons.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all retail areas including stockroom standards.
• Operation of all front of house tills, responsible for processing till transactions efficiently and effectively.

· Provide office assistance for sales, administration, marketing, bookings and telephone enquiries.

• Responsible for management of Education, Dive and Birthday bookings, including entering information accurately into our systems.
• Create, refresh and maintain engaging and exciting shop displays
• To ensure all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
