POSITION OVERVIEW:

Working at our Ilkeston Branch your responsibilities will include finding the customer needs, choosing the correct battery for the application and processing the sale. This job will also demand good level of fitness to pick and fit batteries to various applications such as cars, caravans and bikes. This role will include working on your own to service the customers of the store. Cashing up, opening up, closing up and weekly banking is also necessary. Full training will be provided

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage inventory and understand stock management systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good understanding of sales processes and cash handling.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations within a retail environment.
  • Proficient in using basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Willingness to constantly improve your workspace following lean culture.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the shop to ensure smooth and efficient running.
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure stock is accurately tracked and organized.
  • Assist customers by providing knowledgeable advice and answering enquiries regarding products and services.
  • Ensure the shop environment is clean, organized, and safe for customers.
  • Monitor product quality and condition, taking necessary action if any items need to be removed or replaced.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Cash handling.
  • Replenishing stock and restocking shelves as needed.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring all customers have a positive experience.
  • Handling Customer enquiries over the phone, VIA email and over the counter.
