Your part in the Blue Care Team Our dynamic retirement livings team at Fraser Shores2 Retirement Village in Hervey Bay is looking for committed and passionate Retirement Living Assistants to join their dedicated and close-knit team on a part time basis. Blue Care operate over 35 retirement villages across Queensland, with more than 3,300 residents choosing to make a Blue Care communities their home. Reporting to the Village Manager, the role will see you upkeeping the cleaning and maintenance of the site to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents. As well as being the point of contact for Emergency Response as part of the overnight on-call services. Your responsibilities will include: Ensure cleanliness of the facility and all equipment or furniture is maintained to a high standard at all times. Ensure all equipment is stored and used according to organisational guidelines. Manage emergency response procedures, including medical attention as required, is provided and documented in accordance with RVA accreditation guidelines, UnitingCare contracts and resident contracts. Ensure all emergency response is conducted in a timely manner in accordance with organisational standards. Respond to resident alarms, applying basic first aid here required and informing/engaging the appropriate authorities. Investigate and report on site maintenance issues to relevant staff. What makes a difference for us? Previous experience working in hospitality service delivery. Excellent attention to detail Demonstrated experience in responding to Workplace Health and Safety emergency procedures Current first aid certificate and CPR certificate Experience working in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in retirement living, senior’s housing or aligned sector is highly regarded.
