RETROFIT ASSESSOR

Location: Remote – role will involve travel throughout the UK

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Retrofit Assessor who is passionate about tackling energy challenges and is looking to grow their career within an award-winning and rapidly expanding company. You will work remotely and travel to sites nationwide to carry out assessments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold a Retrofit Assessor qualification.
  • Must have independent Trustmark registration through ECMK Ltd.
  • 3-5 years experience as a Retrofit Assessor within the ECO sector.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic renewable energy, first-time central heating systems, insulation measures, and solar technology.
  • Technically minded with excellent attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of building physics, particularly insulation, air tightness, ventilation, and moisture risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK
  • Full driving licence (essential)

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Retrofit Assessor, you will be responsible for visiting domestic properties across the UK to conduct retrofit assessments, specifying and approving measures, and ensuring all work complies with PAS 2035 standards. You will liaise closely with our in-house Retrofit Coordinators, Surveyor Support and technical teams to deliver high-quality, impactful retrofit solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct on-site property assessments nationwide to determine suitability for retrofit measures.
  • Liaise with internal Retrofit Coordinators, heating surveyors, and other relevant teams.
  • Develop custom domestic retrofit plans to improve EPC ratings, including order of works, estimated costs, and projected impact.
  • Ensure all work complies with PAS 2035 standards.
  • Provide expert advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to households.
  • Monitor and evaluate work to ensure quality and timely delivery.
