Brian Cox Mechanical Inc. is seeking full-time Retrofit HVAC Apprentice who supports retrofit installation projects by assisting Journeymen and Senior Technicians with the removal, installation, and modifications of HVAC systems in existing buildings. This role is designed to develop technical skills through hands on experience, training, and mentorship while adhering to safety, quality, and company standards. Essential Responsibilities: Assist with HVAC retrofit projects including removal and replacement of existing mechanical equipment and system components Support installation of HVAC equipment such as rooftop units, split systems, air handlers, ductwork, piping, and associated components Assist with reconnecting electrical, refrigerant, condensate, and gas piping under supervision Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and retrofit scopes of work Handle tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently Assist with system start-ups, testing, and basic troubleshooting under direction Maintain clean and organized job sites, including proper disposal of old equipment and materials Accurately complete assigned documentation such as daily reports and material tracking. Communicate progress, issues, or safety concerns to supervising technicians. Follow all company safety policies, including jobsite hazard awareness and PPE requirements. Requirements Minimum Requirements: Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record Able to pass a background check and drug screen Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in Pipefitting, Sheetmetal, or HVAC trade
Responsibilities
