We’ve achieved this by cultivating a talented team with the right attitude. Brian Cox Mechanical Inc. is seeking a Retrofit HVAC Journeymen to lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install equipment. This role focuses on retrofit and upgrade projects, ensuring systems are installed in a safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, projects specifications, and company standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform HVAC retrofit work including removal and replacement of existing equipment such as RTU, split systems, air handlers, furnaces, condensers, VAV boxes, and related components. Install, modify, and reconnect ductwork, piping, electrical connections, and controls as required for retrofit projects. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, retrofit scopes, and manufacturer specifications. Perform system start-ups, testing, balancing assistance, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation. Coordinate with supervisor, project managers, and other trades to complete project on schedule. Maintain tools, equipment, in safe working condition. Follow all company safety policies, including job hazards awareness and PPE requirements. Requirements Be familiar and have worked on Refrigeration (Split Systems/ VRF), RTUs, Exhaust Fans, Cooling Towers, VAVs, WSHP, and Cooled Chillers. Educated and trained in either Sheet Metal, Piping, or as a technician. Must have a Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance Must be able to Pass a Background Check and Drug Screen Must have own tools.
