We are seeking a Retrofit/Net Zero Surveyor to join our Housing Assets department who are responsible for delivering high quality and cost-effective planned works, repairs, compliance and decarbonisation improvements to our housing stock.

As a Retrofit/Net Zero Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering quality surveying, taking a key role in achieving the Council’s Net Zero Carbon targets, including all matters concerning resident engagement and liaison, project planning, specification, design, procurement, contractor management and regulatory requirements within the Retrofit/Net Zero Team on the Councils Housing stock.
You will undertake surveys and produce reports, relating to the required carbon reduction measures for dwellings, that will contribute to budgetary decisions and future programming. In addition, you will be required to assess and ascertain the age and lifetime of key building components (e.g. roof, windows, kitchens and bathrooms) and assess the property condition, safety and energy performance.
ABOUT YOU
A Surveying or Built Environment qualification is essential for this role, including knowledge and experience of construction methods and defects, undertaking buildings inspections and the ability to produce reports to inform our asset database and capital programme.
Experience of managing and evaluating delivery designs, coordination and installations of complaint energy efficiency measures is also essential as well as, knowledge of funding schemes such as Heat Network Efficiency Scheme, Energy Company Obligation & Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.
A qualification and experience as a Domestic Energy Assessor or a Level 3 Retrofit Advisor qualification would be an advantage.
