Description

JOIN BELL GROUP AS A RETROFIT OPERATIONS MANAGER

Location: Northern Home Counties
Full Time | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Car Allowance
Are you passionate about driving decarbonisation and retrofit excellence in the built environment? Bell Group — one of the UK’s largest and most respected property services contractors — is looking for a Retrofit Operations Manager to lead our energy efficiency projects across the Northern Home Counties.
If you have at least 5 years of experience in retrofit/decarbonisation, and a solid understanding of PAS 2030/2035, this is your opportunity to shape the future of low-carbon housing with a company that leads through quality, purpose, and people-first values.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Retrofit Operations Manager, you’ll take the lead on PAS 2030/2035-compliant retrofit schemes — including EWI, IWI, CWI, loft insulation, ASHPs, and more. You’ll be the go-to expert overseeing project compliance, quality assurance, and client relationships, while managing a team of retrofit professionals to deliver transformative upgrades to UK homes.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that combines technical leadership, commercial oversight, and operational delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the delivery of retrofit schemes to full PAS 2030/2035 compliance
  • Act as the branch’s primary retrofit and decarbonisation lead
  • Prepare and manage PAS documentation, plans, and audit readiness
  • Work with designers, assessors, and PAS consultants to ensure quality assurance
  • Build and lead high-performing teams of site managers, surveyors, and coordinators
  • Support tenders and contribute to bid submissions
  • Engage with clients, build trusted relationships, and represent Bell Group at senior meetings
  • Drive performance on-site through regular inspections, compliance checks, and HSEQ standards
  • Manage subcontractor competence and PAS/MCS compliance
  • Ensure energy performance improvements are accurately identified, planned, and delivered
  • Work collaboratively with QS teams to price and optimise compliant retrofit measures
  • Lead preparation for PAS 2030/2035 & MCS audits with external bodies
